The Women’s Collective Networking & Mutual Support

The newly formed 747 Seminars Women’s Collective had its launch meeting February 22, 2004 at Le figaro Cafe in the Village. This event marked the start of an exciting endeavor designed as a model for women helping through connection, collaboration and community. On another level it is intended to be an expert consulting group to organizations and agencies implementing women’s services. The group’s official name will be The Tea Party Network.

The Tea Party Network will be starting to meet this summer at a wonderful space in Long Island City on the site of the former Q.P. Market Place (42-16 West Street between Queens Blvd. and Jackson Avenue). This location is convenient to mass transit, in the hub of Queens Plaza. The “E,” “R” and “V” trains to Queens Plaza put you right across the street.

Many exciting events and activities are being planned to reach community women, local leaders and residents. Look for calendars and schedules of activities here on the 747 Seminars website.

The women’s collective known as “The Tea Party” can help introduce you to other women interested in making a difference in their lives and the lives of other women. 747 helps women come together for connection, collaboration, and a sense of community in what are usually very busy lives. We are reaching out to an exclusive group of women with special talents, skills and interests to begin a women’s collective with the purpose of creating a powerful network devoted to helping women manage their multiple demands through connection, collaboration and community. The goal is to make this women’s collective a viable consulting group that will successfully attract opportunities to do fee based consulting to a variety of community, civic, social, church and corporate entities.
